Announcing Windy City Rails 2010!

Aug 28, 2010

Get ready for Windy City Rails 2010: a daylong conference that’ll make your cup runneth over with all things Rails.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 11 when the top minds in the Ruby and Rails community come together in Chicago. There will be six sessions, lightning talks and in-depth tutorials, as well as the all-day Obtiva Coding Dojo where you can practice coding techniques alongside a peer in a low stress, no-pressure environment.

Check out the incredibly talented lineup of speakers who will be presenting: there’s no doubt this event has attracted some of the most brilliant and accomplished brains in the business. Obtivian Noel Rappin leads a session in the afternoon on “Testing in a Legacy Environment.” His hand-on session will cover topics including how to use Cucumber to perform black-box testing, using mocks to isolate legacy code and adding new features to existing code using TDD.

Obtiva is proud to be the lead sponsor of Windy City Rails 2010. Equally cool: the fact that profits from the event will be donated to the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

Register here and follow Windy City Rails on Twitter to keep up with the latest news and developments.
