Excitement is building around SPARK Chicago - have you heard about it? Obtiva is a sponsoring company and we're really interested to see the ideas and talent that emerge from this event.
SPARK Chicago is a six-day incubation contest July 22-27 that's part of TechWeek. SPARK begins with StartupWeekend Chicago and goes through the (pretty much) sleepless weekend process of building a business. The judges at StartupWeekend then select three winning companies/teams that will go on to the intense incubation process of SPARK.
Those three companies will work on site with three different Chicago design and development firms, one of which is Obtiva. For three days, they'll have hands-on mentoring and assistance in building out their new business concept and developing a prototype.
On the sixth day, they'll pitch their idea to a group of active, nationally recognized investors, and a judging panel will select the winning company, which will receive more than $100,000 in donated services and a sizeable cash grant.
