CHICAGO, Il., February 10, 2009 — Obtiva Corporation today announced its president and founder, Kevin P. Taylor, will be a panelist at the Saper Law Open Source Symposium. The symposium will be held in Chicago on February 17th and plans to bring together members of the open source community for an in-depth discussion of important topics related to open source software.
Taylor will be participating on the panel, “Open Source Business Models for the 21st century.” The panel will be discussing the pros and cons of open source and the different ways a company can participate in, and leverage, the open source publishing model. “Obtiva is a major consumer of open source projects.
