Following the highly successful midVenturesLAUNCH event in September, a new workshop has been established by the midVentures guys to help entrepreneurs connect with the designers and developers they need to get their business ventures up and running.
This DESIGN+DEVELOP event will help folks learn crucial business-building techniques and strategy, find the talent they need to grow their business, and network with some of the region’s most talented designers and developers. They will find one another with the color-coded name badges for Designer / Developer / Seeking Designer / Seeking Developer.
And guess who will be presenting at DESIGN+DEVELOP? An Obtivian, you say? Yes indeed. The immensely accomplished Tyler Jennings will lead the “Develop” portion of the program, presenting a session on “Development Toolkit for Startups: Agile and Rails.”Darren Marshall, co-founder and creative director of Doejo, will deliver the “Design” portion of the workshop.
DESIGN+DEVELOP starts at 3:30 Thursday, December 16, 2010, at the Sync Technology Center, 322 S. Green St., Chicago. Following the workshops, the Holiday Tech Meetup takes place, with 10 promising startups presenting demos of their business concept (along with a hearty serving of food and fun).
