“Our feelings are an untapped resource when it comes to making our way through life.”
This is the guiding principal behind Corey Haines’ (he's one of our extended family) MercuryApp.com, a fascinating application that helps you track your feelings over time to guide you toward making more informed decisions. We’re not the only ones who find this concept awesome: Ruby platform Heroku has just singled out MercuryApp as a featured app in its December newsletter.
MercuryApp charts your daily feelings on whatever issues are important to you: your job, relationships, diet and exercise, technology, etc. Every day, MercuryApp contacts you and asks how you’re feeling. You can log your feelings on a scale as well as keep a private diary of notes.
MercuryApp charts how your feelings fluctuate on a graph. Seeing the evolution of your feelings can help you make optimal decisions, taking account of the full scope of your opinions instead of making snap judgments based on how you feel at the moment.
For the one or two people out there who don’t know Corey, he’s a prolific developer who does amazing work. He (along with Sarah Gray) are driving MercuryApp.com toward launch. Meanwhile, we encourage you to visit the MercuryApp homepage to take part in the beta.
