How much Agile can you learn in one day? The answer is: a lot. In this course, Michael Feathers will walk you though the history of Agile and explain all of the relevant practices - when they should be used and when they shouldn't. You'll learn how to do the initial and on-going planning for a project, how to write user stories, when to estimate (and when not to) and, through simulations, you'll learn how emergent design through Refactoring and Test-Driven Development impact the development process.
This course is an ideal introduction for Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers and Testers. You will learn more about Agile in a team environment through exercises, lecture and case studies. You also learn how to tailor Agile on your team to meet your particular needs.
Training begins at 9:00 AM. Every attendee receives one full day of training in a focused subject. You will leave with new proficiencies and capabilities, but equally valuable, you'll be a part of the Obtiva alumni network, a community of like-minded professionals that we encourage to stay in touch and help each other connect and collaborate in the months and years ahead. In addition, registration also includes a catered lunch.
